The term "silver falcon" is a strong misnomer, as nearly any bird of prey can have the necessary qualities, not just a falcon. The more correct term would be "silver", though it is not often used so as to not confuse with the element silver.
The silvers are known for two things - the silver feathers under their wings, and their natural control over one of four elements - fire, water, lightning, or ice. Apart from the silver feathers, which occur only underneath their wings - they are completely indistinguishable from any other ordinary bird of prey.
The silvers have had a long and unhappy history with humanity. Anadian and Endalian political and religious leaders all believe that the silvers were created from the depths of Hell, are an unnatural phenomenon, and must be destroyed to preserve the balance of the world. These beliefs are centuries old and are all but confirmed by eyewitness reports from both countries. The witnesses claim, universally, that the silver birds appeared from a "crack in the sky" - beyond which appeared different to each witness. This event happened simutaneously at many points all throughout the two continents, with an unknown number happening over the ocean.
From Hell or not, however, the silvers have never once attacked a human without provocation. Despite this, international law dictates that any and all humans are to kill any silver bird, without exception, using any means necessary. The silvers' numbers have dwindled ever since, and have been unable to gain any sort of a foothold to defend themselves from.
The silvers were finally united, however, when a young silver peregrine falcon named Scott engaged and defeated the silver bald eagle tyrant named Fletcher in single combat. The silver birds, free to follow their new leader out of loyalty rather than fear, have managed to commandeer the Anadian warship AAF-1000 and rename it the SFWS Skywind.
Currently, the silver's military arm - which is also their "citizenry" - is broken into two parts. The SFAF, or silver falcon airbourne forces - is the air force, under the command of Skymaster Scott Windwhistler. The SFAN, or the Aerial Navy, is commanded by Lead Admiral Dora Remington - a silver white-morph gyrfalcon. She is known to everyone else by her last name only. The two together form the official head of state for the silver falcons.
After losing a small but extremely valuable item into the Mythical Fantasies area, however, a small team of silvers are tasked with retrieving the object through any means necessary. Although they aren't backed up by the fleet or the air force, they are still a force to be reckoned with in the air.
All silver falcons are members of the SFAF or SFAN. Though any silver can leave or opt to not join, they also recognize that they would not last long on their own.
