I did my introductions in the Cbox, but here's a bit about me for the interested. I'm Justin, but I'm also known as Arrow. I'm a former mod from Tohea, so I know the general rules of things. Admittedly though I can be a bit stubborn or socially awkward, I generally don't go around picking fights. I can enjoy a good debate, as long as things are kept civil, though some topics are best not debated with me. I've recently come through a lot of personal revelations about myself, and my girlfriend is trying to get me to speak my mind more often now. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but it's what's happening, I think. Despite my former mod position on two forums and one wiki, my RPing skills are quite rusty...I haven't RPed on a board in years. I do remember a few plots of mine though that I ultimately want to finish, fortunately. More recently I've gotten into technical and guide writing, having recently wrote the guide to video games Battlestations: Midway and Battlestations: Pacific. These guides are my pride and joy and most definitely the best writing I've done to date. Not only are they featured guides (and thus appear on the front page of the site), but I'm really, really proud to say that I actually received recognition from Eidos, the developer. In the off chance you actually buy Battlestations Pacific, you'll find me listed in the credits. =D Though I've seen a lot of things, ranging from planes and birds to ships and, more recently, land vehicles, birds and planes are extremely close to my heart. I'm not exactly an ornithologist, but I do my fair share of research on them. For those who actually read my profile before I edited it, my main character is actually a bird. I have a huge world built around it and I could probably even build an RP around it, but unfortunately no one's taken interest in it, so it sits around in my mind. I'm interested in hearing about other people's characters, but most people I know of have one to five or six characters at most. I do creep around on people's profiles =P In terms of video games, I play everything. My Steam profile is located here. As mentioned above, I play Battlestations Pacific (but not regularly anymore), but I also play FPSes, RTSes, RPGs, and almost everything in between. The series that's closest to my heart, however, is Ace Combat, followed closely by Final Fantasy.

Hey Arrow. :3 We've already been chatting for awhile but I'm bored and feeling friendly so... why not? x3 Besides, we need more actual forum posts.
SO you can call me X... or Ray... or Xray... or Dog... or XRD... or whatever other weird short hand you can come up with. I've seen people get pretty creative and I find it fascinating. x3 I only joined up a few days ago so I'm not much more experienced here than you are, but I can tell you that this is a nice, chill, laid-back forum with very friendly staff (besides me x3). So I do hope you enjoy it here.
I'd totally add you on Steam, but I actually never use it myself. ^^; I prefer my xbox. As an artist, I spend 90% of my time on the computer so I try to do my video gaming somewhere else. Specifically on my television. x3
I don't think I even remember my Steam account name. But, that's cool that you use it. :3 I'm pretty big into video games myself. Not crazy, but more than average. I just bought Portal the other day, which is awesome.

Sorry, but I absolutely HATE Xbox. The fact you have to pay for Xbox Live just compounds the issues of a 16% failure rate on it. The true benefit of PC gaming is two words: community content. I've seen Left 4 Dead custom campaigns with such quality I'd swear they were made by Valve had I not actually downloaded it first myself. One of them even has its own music!

A fair assessment. x3 I was not happy with the fact that I had to pay for Xbox live, and honestly only got it once my best friend did. We would've gone with Steam ourselves, but she had a Mac and, at the time, most games were not playable on Macs. She has since gotten Steam but we still prefer xbox. I'd honestly go stir crazy if I had to play all of my games on the computer. x3 There's only so much time one can spend in one spot.
But it is definitely expensive, this much I agree.

HI, I'm Thirteen, the original creator of this site. First of all, THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING! (Btw, I'm from Aus, so if I seem strange, you'll know why ;D)
I'm active, but I think I'm in a different timezone from you guys, so it's not because I'm unfriendly if I don't talk to you, it just means I'm waiting until I can get back on my laptop.
I have to admit, I'm not much of a gamer myself. I like RPing because I'm an aspiring author, and it gives me fresh ideas as well as the joy of seeing others 'live' my stories. This site doesn't have much of a story yet, but I'm working on it!
Others sites I've done (which you may not be interested in) are Dangerous-secrets (A rp site with a huge plot feature) and my first failed site, Ikimono Yochi. I've given up on my first one, it is now not active until I can find out how to delete it, but my third one is also just starting out like Mythical Fantasies.
The other staff are amazing, I've only known them since they joined, the first, Lyta, about a month ago, and yet they're some of the friendliest, most artistic and best people I've met online.
So yeah, I really hope you enjoy it here. And don't worry if your skills are a bit rusty, mine aren't so great either. Cya, Dana, Thirteen, 13, Thir, D, (Whatever else you can come up with)

It kind of sucks that you're in another timezone; I was hoping to catch up to you about my own characters and whatnot. It's complicated; all the boards I've been to, they've had issues with them being animals and being a tad overpowered. That's mostly due to exactly who they were going up against. Thus I'm a little hesitant to stretch my abilities of global moderator and just kind of shove them up without getting an idea of the repercussions they'll be making on the board first. Any chance of meeting up with you sometime?

I like powerful charries. Speaking as a co-admin who has absolutely no right to overrule Thirteen but whose opinion probably/hopefully counts for something, the heart of a character tends to be more important than whether they're overpowered. I mean, Aoika could probably summon a few flames and turn you into steak in five seconds flat. Powers aren't ever a problem with me unless they're unbeatable. It's taking the flaws and how they are spread across different areas and the strengths together and seeing if you can see the character. If they're one of those flat 2D characters who only exist to punch up the characters of people the RPer doesn't like and win fights and look pretty on a trophy wall, no matter what site I'm on, I never accept charries like that. Overpowered characters who have a essence to them, not necessarily a heart since that implies being good, but... y'know. It's a fine line between them being a believable person/animal and them being overpowered. Mostly, I couldn't care less if somebody has the power to point and say "DIE!" and the person dies in agony if there's some easy way to defend against it, or if the character is, say, a mentally ill little coward weakling who wouldn't quite ever dare to say DIE. Y'know. It's just a balance. *grins* And I know what you mean with the going-up-against. Animals are what we're all about, and overpowered? I like overpowered. After all, it's the overpowered chainsaw laser guns that are the most likely to blow up in your face. *slightly more evil grin* And things blowing up? Me liiiiiiiiikez. *fully malicious grin* As for me, I'm the most immature person ever to be a staff member on any site anywhere, which is odd as I've staffed a few, even if non-officially like I did at WCOTW. And I enjoy explosions and characters being made to SUFFER. I also like fire and stuff. And I spend my life doing RPs where my characters kill each other with judo moves and then going to school and leading the Teachers' Pets of the World Unite Union, and then going to judo and beating up anyone who thinks they have a chance of taking me on, ("No, I don't care if you're a green belt. You're so going down." "Lyta, you're three belts lower than me. I am so crushing you." "We'll see." WHAM! *manic laughter*). I'm also incredibly arrogant and boastful so don't mind me, because everybody has a fatal flaw and at least I know what mine is and fully accept and embrace it. 'Cause I'm not perfect therefore I'm human and therefore I have the ability to be me and that's better than perfect. ....Right? Oh yeah, forget to mention, I'm also a random philosopher and I'm one of the Jokers from The Solitaire Mystery.

I made a thread for them in the staff area. Any sort of review would be nice. I'm not going to release 'em into the board itself until I get authorization though.

Guys, chill. I'm not going to make you staff and then eat your brains out. Lyta, yep, you're co-admin, so I've already pre-let you make significant changes. And Arrow, as Global Mod, I'm also letting you make pretty significant changes.
Basically, this means you don't have to ask anymore, unless you're very worried it goes against the rules. Just let me know whats happening, and most likely I'll be fine with it. I ain't some crazy control freak admin, you know.
(Please see staff board for the rest of the post, as there are some things for the future that are meant as a surprise to non-staff)

I didn't think you were that sort of admin, I just thought it'd be better to ask than to not ask.

For the record, Lyta, we worked out a solution. We're just going to have a small expeditionary force of them.
